LAN Based Electronic Lock Management System offers increased security, efficiency and reporting capability

Proximity Systems will be announcing the availability of the LAN Based Electronic Lock Management System for use in its retractable, wall-mounted Workstations at the 2009 HIMSS Conference & Exhibition. The new patent-pending locking system offers reporting capability and simplifies and streamlines making user and lock changes. The new locking system can be ordered with Proximity Systems’ retractable wall-mounted computer workstations beginning in April, and many older multi-compartment workstations can also be retrofitted with the new locking system. The locking system combines hardware components and proprietary client/server software with an intuitive user interface for administrators to add, delete, or modify user and lock information from a central location. In addition, the software has a searchable and sortable reporting capability and offers administrators information about who accessed the cabinets at what time. The hardware includes a keypad, lock and control box that connects to the PC with a USB connection, eliminating the need to run additional cabling. “We’re pleased to introduce this innovative product that not only automates the tedious task of manually re-programming electronic keypad locks, but also provides important audit and reporting data for management,” said Jeremy Goza, director of business development for Proximity Systems.
